For the newly widowed

I’m sorry if you’ve found your way here as a fresh widow, for your loss, and for the uncertainty you must feel over the future.  I’ve come a long way since I was a fresh widow so there are certain things on this blog that may intimidate you, may make you think widows are bonkers, may inspire you, or may feel a million miles away from where you’re at right now.  That’s ok – just because we are widowed doesn’t mean we have to be the same.

However, there are commonalities from widow to widow.  I’m gradually going to bulk up this section of my blog with pages on some useful tips, or lessons I’ve learned that I think could have wider relevancy.  Don’t quote me as the oracle or anything, but I hope you can find some of it useful.

Again, I’m so sorry for your loss.  Keep going and embrace the moments of calm when they come – I promise they will.
